First Friday at BCAC – “Animal Magnetism”
October 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
BCAC Show Brings “Animal Magnetism” to Binghamton
Bonnie Drum-Yetter’s artwork will be featured in a solo show at the Broome County Arts Council during the month of October.
Mrs. Yetter is well known for her pastel depictions of animals ——domesticated, wild and human. She has studied with some of the top pastel artists in the country, and has shown extensively at regional galleries and art centers in the northeast. Her goal is to “convey the deep emotional connection we have to the animals around us,” she explains.
Her “soft realism” paintings require precision and attention to detail. “I paint every day,” she says, “but I’m not a painting-a-day artist.” Her commissioned work limits her offerings to the general public, but it’s her favorite endeavor. This show provides an opportunity to admire and acquire pieces of her special art.
An artist’s reception will be held from 6—9 pm, October 6, First Friday at the BCAC gallery, fifth floor, on State St. in Binghamton.
