Homecoming Weekend Concert: Wind Symphony, Harpur Chorale and Chamber Singers
October 7 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Binghamton University Department of Music presents a Homecoming Weekend Concert
Join us for a delightful musical afternoon with the free “Homecoming Weekend” Concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 in Watters Theater in the Fine Arts Building at Binghamton University. The Binghamton University Wind Symphony, conducted by Daniel Fabricius, and the Harpur Chorale, Women’s Chorus and Chamber Singers, conducted by William Culverhouse, will perform a sampling of diverse repertoire from each of the ensembles.
The entire campus community is invited to show #BingPride at Homecoming, planned for Friday–Sunday, Oct. 6-8. This is the largest on-campus alumni event of the year, but the weekend has much to offer for faculty and staff, as well as students and the local community in addition to the concert on Saturday. Signature events for the weekend include Hinman College’s 50th anniversary; a TIER Talks speaker event; a 5K run/walk; and Saturday night fireworks on campus. For the schedule and to register for events, go online. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 29. If you have questions, contact the Alumni Engagement office via email or at 607-777-2424.
For more information about the concert, call 607-777-2592, visit the Music Department website (music.binghamton.edu) or become a fan on Facebook. This concert is sponsored by the Binghamton University Music Department.
