Dance clubs, sports bars, and pubs can all be found in Greater Binghamton.
In downtown Binghamton, the “State Street Strip” is popular with the younger crowd. Dillinger’s, JT’s Tavern, Uncle Tony’s, Tom & Marty’s, Rathskeller, The Sports Bar, and Java Joe’s coffee house line the row between Court and Hawley Streets.
In the heart of downtown Flashback’s & Boca Joe’s at the corner of State and Court Streets and Vegas at the Holiday Inn Arena are the popular dance clubs. The newest club, On Q – Greater Binghamton’s only upscale jazz club and cabaret, is located at the Depot just off the intersection of State & Eldredge Street. Across from the Binghamton Regency Hotel, Lost Dog Coffee House offers a variety of styles of music including jazz, folk, and acoustic, in addition to its extensive coffee list, food menu, beer and wine bar.
On the South Side of Binghamton, just across the river from downtown, The Number 5 restaurant has a bar with live entertainment on weekends and a diverse crowd. Several other more casual bars are located within walking distance, including Thirsty’s and Southside Yanni’s.
In town and throughout the suburbs you can find neighborhood haunts to fit just about every style and taste, from Irish pubs to country bars, sports bars to wine bars, venues large and small can all be found.
